Ive scanned the UGA scholarship page and I think my DD may have a chance for the One UGA scholarship (Hispanic from CA diverse enough for GA?) My questions are:
1) Are most of the scholarships already awarded to EA applicants?
2) Would this show up on the mystatus page on notification day?
Ive told her she can go to UGA if she gets some money off the OOS sticker price but Ive read on some posts here that some letters go out mid-April. Id hate for us go on to Plan B college after notification day and then get a letter mid-April saying she received some type of scholarship or fee waiver. Can someone clarify the process?

When did she submit her application?

I’m not sure if it will show on the mystatus page - probably not - but any merit awards should be included with your daughter’s acceptance letter. If she didn’t receive a decision on the 22nd with the 1st round of RD notifications, then all other decisions will be made in March. You will not have to wait until mid-April. Also, from my understanding, and someone Please correct me if I’m wrong, in order to receive “priority” scholarship consideration, applications should have been received No later than December 15th. However, if she sent it in after December 15th, it doesn’t mean that she won’t get anything at all. That’s what I was told when I called them. Hope this helps.

Thanks Jennee. She did apply before Dec.15th. I’m thinking maybe these posts I read about mid-April letters just means that their acceptance letters just arrived a bit later than normal.

I have been told that the admissions office is backed up due to record number of applications(21,000 up from the record 18,000 last year. It is possible the response date may be pushed back. Even transfer admissions is taking a halt.
