FAFSA/CSS PROFILE Filing Date

<p>Hi guys, I'm a little confused about Emory's deadlines for financial aid this year.</p>

<p>According to this website - <a href="http://www.emory.edu/FINANCIAL_AID/undergraduates/emory-college/"&gt;http://www.emory.edu/FINANCIAL_AID/undergraduates/emory-college/&lt;/a> - it says to file the CSS and FAFSA by February 1, 2014, which is today. Then it says due by March 1, 2014. What exactly does this imply? My parents haven't filed their taxes yet and I haven't filled out the FAFSA or CSS so I'm a bit worried...</p>

<p>This document is for last year. I’m concerned because we filled out the FAFSA last week, but Opus isn’t showing that it went through. I guess there is nobody available who can answer our questions about this on the weekend.</p>

<p>I’ve completed FAFSA and CSS and Opus isn’t confirming either, so maybe just give it some time?</p>

<p>Yes, annac6 the Financial Aid department was probably closed this week due to SnowJam here in Atlanta. If it doesn’t show up next week though, then I’ll call to find out what’s going on.</p>

<p>It took very long for OPUS to confirm receipt of my CSS; I’d give it 2 weeks from when collegeboard says they sent it. On the other hand, I did email them once to ask if they had received my tax returns through the mail, (it arrived jan 13th, I emailed jan 28th), and someone responded a few days later, so feel free to email and ask. </p>

<p>What reason is there to be concerned about them not confirming receipt after ONE week? They even said they’ll try to within 5-7 business days of receipt. </p>
