Rejected: 2260 SAT, 3.8 GPA.

I haven't recieved anything yet... I didn't get an email.

And on OPUS, I only see my Oxford decision... Nothing about Emory.

I guess I'm waiting on a letter in the mail?

Meh, rejected--pretty disappointed. I had fairly high stats too--2380 SAT, 35 ACT, UW GPW 4.1, and what I thought was a solid bunch of extracurriculars/leadership.

Oh well, not here to rant it out. Congrats to everyone!

Littlecommand, if I were you, I'd be ramming my head through a wall right now. :P

lol @ this:

Yay, I'm a semifinalist and accepted and whatnot. 2300 SAT, ranked #2, 3.98UW GPA, ~4.5W GPA, pretty lame leadership and ECs and decent essays and stuff. lol. I'm happy.

I'm not sure why I'm on here, just torturing myself probably.
I didn't make it.

I got a 2380 on the SAT and a 34 on the ACT...

I think part of the problem was that Emory lost my Scholars Essay, my transcript, and my Scholars Notification Form...but didn't tell me until the Saturday before the Monday deadline. Even though I FedExed the stuff right away, that still didn't give them much time to look it over.

whoot! i'm in!
i remember after my parents read my common app essay that i sent everywhere, they thought it was inappropriate (i wrote about pooping in an airport) and that i wasn't going to get in anywhere.
so i guess this is early reassurance that i won't get shafted on admissions just because of my essay topic.

by the way, most of you guys who didn't get in have very enviable stats and i'm sure you'll get in on the regular decision in the spring.

I have still yet to get any sort of e-mail or OPUS notification. I'm going to call them tomorrow, I guess. I probably didn't get in, considering how many high-stats applicants here don't seem to be making it. But still, it'd be nice to have some actual confirmation...

hah it seems we have a big enough group to make a respectable facebook group - anyone up to it? I would, but I've self-blocked myself from it until I read the next 107 pages of Paradise Lost... needless to say I won't be getting on anytime soon.

yea we should, that'd be cool.

accepted and semifinalist.
SAT: 2340, and other stats of the like

well i must have been living in a cave these last few days...didn't know about decisions until today. but wow this is a great surprise! nice confidence booster too.

rejected... 34 ACT and 2310 SAT. congrats to everyone who made it though!

I called the Admissions Office this morning, and they said all notifications would be posted by this evening. It is 7:47 EST and I still have nothing in my email or mail box other than the old 1/16/09 email to "Expect your decision by tomorrow."

Does anyone else still have no information?

Me neither gottalearn. I'm finding it pretty frustrating...

I as well have not recieved anything, not even the "expect your decision" email. Same with another kid at my school who also applied. This is crazy and very frustrating...

I don't mind waiting but I was just wondering if no decision on OPUS means that I am not a semifinalist.

I was in the same boat, and I called the admissions office and a counselor re-sent the email to me. Also, they mailed letters on friday, so expect a hard copy of your decision soon, even if you didn't get an online notification

Received letter in mail along with acceptance packet of information. Hope the rest of you get your answers soon.

Has anyone else received a letter? ive still got nothing. im pretty sure i did not make it, but i would like to know for sure, just to know that my application i worked on was reviewed and what not...
