I have a few questions about the scholars program.
So, where exactly is the Emory Scholars specific essay? I indicated that I would like to apply for the Scholars program in the Common App, but no additional essay shows up.

Also, how competitive is the Scholars program, and how many people get the full tuition, and how many get partial, and how much is "partial tuition"? In addition, will the Scholars tuition add up with financial aid, or will you get less need aid if you get Emory Scholars.

Lastly, if you get a scholarship related to, say, research from Emory, and then you wished to go to Gouizeta, will you continue to receive the scholarship?

Last year there were 1 or 2 additional essays. You could apply for either Emory Scholars or Goizueta Scolars. Very, very few kids get picked as a finalist. It is extremely competitive.Emory flies them down for 4 days but most don’t get the full ride. They get partial…but still very generous.

It’s very competitive. I know someone who got a full scholarship to the University of Maryland and did not get accepted as an Emory scholar. And the University of Maryland is a hard to school to get into because there are a lot of great high schools in Maryland.

@twogirls Isn’t CP the honors college though…or is that the main one? I don’t remember, but I would expect CP to correlate with Emory some either way. I would call the Emory Scholars thing competitive and “political”(yield potential aware). If they feel as if you won’t yield, they probably won’t even interview.
