Planning to visit Emory later this month…hopefully I get in before I visit or else it would be a waste…

I haven’t heard back either… I’m getting really nervous. I really hope I get in… Out of curiousity, what is everyone transfering in as?

I am actually going to transfer in as a junior from NYU and was wondering if anyone was on the same boat as me.

do we need to send our second semester grades??

^I think so. I think they want the final transcript.

I am applying as an incoming sophomore by the way.

Oh thanks!
I was confused because I know Emory contacted a lot of people requesting for their final transcripts, but I wasn’t sure if we were supposed to send them in if they didn’t ask.

I’m also applying as a incoming sophmore

why are my college transcript and high school transcript still initiated??? I have them sent like 2 months ago…freaking out now…anyone else the same?

Same here…I think it takes awhile for them to receive the transcripts because they are both sent separately…

Also, does anyone know if there are incoming junior year transfers?

I’m applying as an incoming junior transfer.

Awesome…! I honestly am so excited to visit the campus soon, i heard it was like a country club

Also applying as an incoming junior. I heard that last year somebody got admitted by 6.18…

im applying as a junior also. i think decisions should be coming out any day now. mine is going to be another 2-3 weeks unfortunately because of confusion with some missing transcripts. but if you had all your items completed on opus by june 1st i would think you’d hear back in the next week or two

anyone mind sharing their stats when they find out the decision? Want to get an idea for next year haha

Bump any decisions

bump 10char

Anyone else accepted yet?

I’m still having trouble deciding where to live, I think I’ll change my preferences to Woodruff then…

Does anyone know if there are a lot of grocery store type deals around? I think I’m gonna get meal plan C which is like one meal a day…

It’s more like 2-3 (3 is not recommended, maybe once in a while 3 is okay, but certainly not every or every other day) if you account for the amount of Dooley dollars you have. Also, the Publix on Clairmont and the Kroger at Toco Hills (it’s almost as if they recognize that they are near a university) have sales very often (plus, Kroger-Toco Hills prices seems to have lower retail prices than normal, perhaps because of the Publix w/in the same shopping complex), so you’ll likely not have trouble there.

Thanks bernie12,
So I take it you are allowed to use Dooley dollars at the food place then or is it other places? I usually eat a light breakfast in my room anyway so I only really need two meals.

Do you know if there are fridges in the rooms/kitchens in the dorms at all?

If you get Woodruff, there are not kitchens directly in the dorm (if you want that, you should go for the Clairmont tower. However, Woodruff has a kitchen for every floor. What I really recommend is simply renting or buying a mini-fridge (perhaps from someone else, so it’s cheap). Maybe have you and the roomie split the cost if you are the only one bringing it and they plan to use it. Otherwise, put/keep your items in a bag (put your name on it of course) and put it in the hall fridge. People don’t steal often.

hey guys, (and @bernie12 can you help answer this one?) do you mind posting stats…and any tips on how to get into Emory as a transfer? Does Emory give good financial aid to transfer students ? (as in is the financial aid they give for freshman as good for transfers?)
