I think last year they came out around March 21st so hopefully that’s the same this year. It’s so hard to wait (also I’m pretty sure they do a spring open house for admitted students so if you haven’t visited yet and are accepted that may be a good time to go!)
@gigabyte123 unless that is new for this year, you are mistaken. I know three Emory/Goizueta Scholars in the last two years who did not get a full ride.
lol
good luk everyone
luck***
I recently got an email to check my financial aid application from Emory. And, I am wondering if Emory has a separation process for financial aid from the actual admission process? Ugh… Waiting is hard!
@vermidech6382 yes they are completely unrelated.
@collegemom9 Thanks! I assumed they would be unrelated:)
What was your email like? @vermidech6382
@desie1 goizueta scholars aren’t part of the Emory scholars program. It’s a separate program valer the Goizueta Scholars Program
Yes, I am aware of rhat.
@desie1 so when I said everyone in the Emory Scholars Program gets a full ride, I wasn’t talking about the Goizueta Scholars Program
@dkahfdfhk So when I filled out the FAFSA, I put down that my mother is a dislocated worker, meaning that she was fired from her company (basically). They asked me for a proof so I sent them the letter that she received. Nothing much but seems like I should not expect much:)
Oh I see (sorry about your mom btw). I was asking because I’ve gotten SO MANY emails from Emory’s aid office and a phone call lol. By so many I mean like 6 but Emory is the only college that has sent me this many @vermidech6382
@dkahfdfhk no problem! I was just wondering what it was haha! Thank god that I learned that it was not a big thing before getting my hopes up too high
@gigabyte123 Right…and I am telling you that I know Emory Scholars who did not get a free ride. Free ride means all expenses paid; it isn’t the same as free tuition. So unless they are changing it for this year, then I believe you are mistaken.
My daughter is an Oxford/Emory Scholar and she gets full tuition and fees; we pay for room, board and books (@$15k per year). It is my understanding that there are very few “full ride” scholarships. Maybe the Woodruff Scholars?
@econmomto3
Does the Oxford Scholarship continue when she gets to Emory?
Yes. She automatically becomes an Emory Scholar.
first person last year got decisions at 6pm east coast time on thursday march 22, which means it could be next thursday the 21st for us at 6pm
