@StevoMeepo No I don’t think so. Based on what I’ve seen, it depends on what department you submitted it to. Some people who submitted voice supplements got a reply, but I submitted a violin supplement and didn’t get a reply. Others who submitted supplements also didn’t get a reply, so I think it’s okay.
Hi there! I got this message from the Oxford soccer coach after filling out a questionnaire he sent me:
Kofi Agyare hope all is well. This is coach Moss-Brown Oxford College of Emory University Men’s Soccer. Just letting you know that we are still very much interested in you.
We hope your still interested in playing for us and we pray you get good news in a few weeks.
Visit?
Feel free to call or text Cheers
Any ideas What it means?
It means that he wants you to play for the team. I received a similar email a few weeks back and went up there to try out. Afterwards the coach said he wanted me on the team and when I got back home I received a likely letter from Oxford.
Oh wow, congrats bruh! I don’t have the means to go there rn but hopefully I get in. You gonna go?
Haven’t decided, kinda wanna see where else I get in you know? And if you can’t go then email him about it, also tell him how interested you’re to go there and then contact him again if you get accepted. Otherwise if you have it you can send him a video of you playing to strengthen your application.
Is there a groupme? If so, will someone add me in?
yes, is there a RD applicant groupme? I am freaknig out
i can make one. Message me your numbers and if enough people send them (like atleast 5) i’ll start one
I’ve gotten 3 numbers so far! If anyone else wants to join, send yours asap
I’ve created the group! Here’s the link if you wanna join: https://app.■■■■■■■■■■■/join_group/29723408/A7ZT27
Just received an email saying that decisions will be released next Thursday at 6pm EST. Good luck everyone!
Also received the same email. It should be released on portal, not through mail or email.
March 23rd at 6pm EST. Waiting for JHU tomorrow and possibly Northwestern.
Plus NU just beat Vandy. 68-66
Good luck everyone and be thankful that Emory doesn’t play super prestige whore in admissions, as you can tell there was a rather large increase in applications. Fortunately for you guys, I bet that Emory will admit the same or even more students than last year whereas a typical selective college would simply admit much less students to seize the opportunity to decrease the admit rate (and maybe increase yield) and look much more prestigious. I think Emory will ultimately play fair, and I even doubt the score ranges will move much. They can instead more easily pick based on other qualities of interest (and maybe attempt to diversify the class academically more than they could before) so don’t worry that the adcoms at Emory will join the pattern of stats whoring seen at many peers. Most, if not all you have a shot of getting in even in this context.
@bernie12 thanks for this comment!
@bernie12 Thanks, increasing my hopes
Hey so did anyone submit a Non Custodial Parent waiver as part of their financial aid supplement? I’m wondering because I did and they haven’t told me about the status of my waiver and whether or not they decided to accept it… Don’t I need to know that information? Decisions are coming out soon which means financial aid packages; if they don’t accept my waiver that means my finaid info is incomplete… Can anyone tell me about their experience with the NCP Waiver at Emory? I got confirmation that they received the waiver but not much after that
@hungryanddriven It should be on OPUS. After signing in, go to your To Do List. There should be something that says “17-18 Non-Custodial Waiver”, with its status in one of the following columns. I never got an email when they confirmed it, I just signed in one day to see that it said “Completed”. If you have any questions just let me know, I went through the same thing!
@Jaysawwwwn Thanks!! I signed in to see that it said ‘completed’. I was freaking out lol so thanks so much for the help
@hungryanddriven Not a problem! Best of luck in 2 days, my friend!
