After much deliberation, these are my final two choices. For somebody interested in business, political science, and possibly international affairs, what's the best choice and why? Thanks.

American is more politically active.

AU for location (for international affairs/polyscience) vs. Emory a much more prestigious school in general - my son said that at Scholars weekend 1/2 the students were in poly sci.

i dont understand why everyone keeps asking other people where they should go to school. if money's not an issue, go to the school where you feel most comfortable. simple as that. happiness trumps anything else. and no one can tell you where you feel most comfortable. you can do well no matter where you go, there will be good opportunities in any field anywhere you go. being close to the capitol will mean nothing if you hate the school youre at and being far away from the capitol will mean nothing if you love the school youre at

Emory has a polisci semester at American, I think. The polisci department here is wonderful from what I've heard, and I'm sure it's good at American too-you would have more resources in D.C. but you'd also have to compete with G'town students for internships during the year, I'd think, whereas in Atlanta, we are the main college and have tons of internship opportunities. But I don't know much about it, so visit if you can and go where you think you'll fit in.

Yeah, I agree with newabc. Emory students definitely have an edge when it comes to getting internships within Atlanta. Emory is the best school in Atlanta. Atlanta is one of the best schools in the United States.

newabc.. that's precisely what i had planned on doing. i'm psyched.

and i am going to emory.. i'm stoked!
