emory vs. mich or penn or berkeley and campus life

hey im a senior and im going to apply regular to emory. Im pretty sure i can get in so im trying to decide between emory, umich, penn, and berkeley. For people who go to emory or have visited whats so special about about it or why did you choose it over other schools.

I am also wondering about this emory schoolars program, how competitive is it, and what type of people get in in terms of gpa, test scores, class rank.

I'm a current emory student and I chose the school because of the Scholars program and the merit scholarship that I received. If it wasn't for the Scholars program, I probably would have gone elsewhere. As for the program itself, it is very competitive. The typical scholar has a 4.0 UW gpa, 1500 SAT I, National Merit Finalist, and some sort of National achievement in an extracurricular activity. The selection also depends upon geographical location. A lot of the scholarships are specifically reserved for residents of Georgia and the Southeast. So, a lot of scholars are from Georgia, South Carolina, Florida, and Alabama. The scholarships range from 2/3 tuition to full tuition + room and board. I would definitely encourage you to apply if you are very interested in attending Emory. If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask. Good luck!

Yeah I have a question? When everyone is identically the same 1500+ SAT high gpa and other things, how does the interview process affect this?
