I read that Rochester doesn't put a very large emphasis on SAT scores and instead looks at overall academic record and other aspects with more weight towards their decision. Would you say that is true?

to a certain degree. I applied with medicore test scores but had a good gpa, and tons of ecs and I was accepted regular decision. I know its a lot more competitive now, but if your overall application is strong and sats slightly lacking, they'll look to your strengths. So yeah Rochester is more holistic in its approach to admissions.

okay cool thanks
that is definitely better in my case
rochester is my #1 choice right now

yeah i know ppl with like 1700 who got in

so u'll be ok

Rochester is my first choice, too. I have weak stats, but I hope I can get in.
