Employer still hasn't sent W-2s yet...

I personally went in and asked them. THey say they don't know the timeline, but it should arrive "soon."
But my IDOC is due!!! What do i do? Just send it in without the w-2?

Tell the employer they are breaking the law. W2s need to be sent to the employee (postmarked) by Jan 31.

Use your last pay stub instead.

IDOC requires the completed tax return be sent…you can’t use the last pay stub for that.

Agreed, the employer has missed the deadline for sending those W2 forms…who would someone contact about that?

[Here is What to do If You Are Missing a W-2](http://www.irs.gov/uac/Here-is-What-to-do-If-You-Are-Missing-a-W-2)

I’d suggest:

(1) Estimate your taxes;
(2) Report the employer to the IRS; and
(3) File a declaration with IDOC (in lieu of the W-2) stating that your employer has not provided you a W-2 and you have reported that failure to the IRS.

It’s all you can do at this point.

I meant use your last paystub to fill out your 1040.

Use your last paystub to file form 4852 (substitute w-2) with your tax return. Then send a copy of the 4852 as part of your IDOC submission.
