If I’ve already taken eng 124/125, could I use that as engin 100 fulfillment? Cross campus students can do that and it seems like if I transfer to lsa (currently engin) and then transfer back to engin the course would be fulfilled…
If you entered in to CoE for freshman admission, then no. You need to take 100. If you entered LSA as a freshman and transferred to CoE it should be fine.
This is news to me… My son took (and did well in) an LSA Honors alternative to ENGL 125 last semester. He’s planning to pursue a dual-degree in CoE as well, and his CoE advisor asked him to also take ENGR 100.
Here’s a link that shows Engr100 can’t fulfill Engl125:

But I’m unable to find the reverse, other than this sample schedule (not exactly the field he’s interested in in CoE):

Either the rule has changed for certain CoE programs, or perhaps that was just an oversight by his advisor… I’ll mention this to my S so he can double-check with his CoE advisor. Thanks for your tips, @Vladenschlutte!
I knew Engr100 wouldn’t count for English 125, but it’s always been for as long as I’ve known that someone transferring from LSA to CoE would use English 125 to replace Engr100. It’s possible that either that has changed in the past year or so, so that it no longer does that, or possible that they’re very restrictive about the classes that count for Engr100 and whatever class he took doesn’t. But yes, have him check again.
