Engineering 352 Computer Organizatio

Taking this course with Redekopp. Did you use a book that was required? None on latest book list but before had Patterson Computer Organization and Design as required. Anyone take this recently?
Thanks

any takers?

I took this course. It was excellent. Mark Redekopp is one of the best teachers at USC. It’s a good book, too. One of your future classes (e.g. EE 457 or similar) may require the same book. I’d buy it (maybe look for a used one).

Pay attention. This is one class where you’ll really LEARN a lot of useful material. The same stuff comes back in EE 457, CS 402… and in the real world, too. (Try reading some technical info about the Intel Atom processor  )

There is a new edition so I bought that one. Should be a good semester with EE352,
CSC! 201 and CSCI 271 along with ITP380 and a tech elective

Any of you take CSCI 101? Any words of wisdom on it for my S? And what book was required–there is nothing listed on his book list. Thx!
