Engineering at GW University?

Im a junior in high school and i want to major in environmental or civil engineering and i was thinking of applying to gwu’'s Five-Year Dual Degree Program for the B.S. and M.S. in Civil Engineering ?? I was just wondering if its a good program, if its worth it, and how rigorous and difficult the major and program is ? (and also if anyone has any additional information about gwu in general please let me know:))

and if anyone else is taking this major im just wondering if i will actually get to have a college experience or will i constantly be buried in homework? I obviously know it will be a lot of work but im just worried that ALL ill do is work

I can’t speak with any first-hand knowledge of the engineering school, but I have heard that it’s challenging and that the university is definitely aiming to improve it. Considering the new Science and Engineering hall, I’d say that’s accurate. Also, I knew some people in difference engineering programs and they all managed to have a life on the side. Sure, they were frequently busy with classes and homework, but they were far from hermits.

As far as information on GWU in general, here are some replies I’ve posted in the past:
