Engineering chances? Will i not get in?

I would like to know my chances for chemical engineering at:
U of Minnesota- twin cities, Rutgers, Virginia Tech, Florida State, NC state, Arizona state

international student, white, latino

ok ECs, over 150 volunteer hours, soccer, tennis, UN model
First sat: 1810 610 math, 590 reading, 610 writing
Second sat: 2010 710 math, 640 reading, 660 writing

we dont rank in my school but im pretty sure id be top 25 percent

we dont calculate gpa here, but i have an average of around 5.3 out of 7 with IB courses (International Baccalaurate) which is like AP but it is the british system, my grades for 9th and 10th grade were bad, for some reason my transcripts are out of 5 and not out of 7 and in the transcripts i have like a 3.3 out of 5 average for 9th and 10th grade and like 3.8 for 11th and 12th grades

im not sure if they take this into account but IB is a highly respected course around the world
i take chemistry, economics and history at high level
and maths, english, spanish at standard level

my predicted scores are around 33 ib points out of 45

thankyou, post any links if you want me to chance back

you look like a great applicant dude!

Bumppppppppppp

You seem like a good applicant, but at the end of the day you just have to apply and see where you land up.

I tried to calculate your GPA on a 4.0 scale, but I’m not sure if it’s right. 2.84/4. Even if you have a lower GPA, your SAT score will definitely help as well as your more difficult class load with IB :).
University of Minnesota - low match / match
Arizona State - High Match (not quite a safety, but your SAT is double their average xD)

You could also consider
University of Wisconsin - Madison - low match
Ohio State - low match / match
Penn State - Match
Purdue - low match / match

Good Luck! :D

thanks, whats the difference between low match and high match?

High match means it’s more likely you’ll get in. low match means you might get in. Good Luck! Apply to all of them and you will definitely get in to one of them  UIUC’s engineering program accepted me with a 30ACT and a 3.87 GPA, so I’m not sure of your chances there :x, but other than that I could see you getting in everywhere else. Good LucK! :D

~FinalWorld

You have a good chance for a lot of the listed schools

DD got into the ChemE program at UMinn for fall 2013. Based on what we’ve seen/heard, I think it would be a low match for you. Now that doesn’t mean I wouldn’t apply. You can get into the CLA there and then transfer into the CSE program by the end of your Sophomore year.

k, thanks people
