UCLA Engineering Likely Letters

When should we be expecting these? I have seen them in the past years, i guess they are emails that indirectly tell you you've been accepted to UCLA

I am hoping it would be today or Monday.

Last year thread:
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/university-california-los-angeles/876152-ucla-likely-letter.html

Some one has posted the following content in a previous thread. it looks like at least for engineering acceptance rate is 18-60%… and for materials it is 60%.

There are more recent statistics on the UCLA site –
http://www.seasoasa.ucla.edu/UCEE%20Report%202013-14.pdf

Also, some interesting numbers here – SAT scores are significantly higher for engineering than for UCLA as a whole.
Engineering stats: http://www.engineer.ucla.edu/explore/facts-and-figures/about-the-students
UCLA as a whole stats: http://www.admissions.ucla.edu/Prospect/Adm_fr/Frosh_Prof13.htm

I am surprised that they have such a low yield.
For computer science
2,149 (no. applied)
270 (No. admitted) 12.6%
52 (No. enrolled) ~2% of the applicants (19% of the admits)

Computer science seems to be very hard to get in…after reading all this, now I am more nervous than ever for my son.

^ I’m guessing the low yield comes from such high stat kids getting admitted into Berkeley/Stanford/Caltech/MIT/other stronger STEM schools?

Chemical engineering ~22%. Pretty much like the overall admit rate. Not bad, not bad.

Anyone get the email yet? Kinda worried that I might not get one

Perhaps no likely letters this year

We received the likely letter via email last year on March 11 which was a Monday.

@cadreamin, What time did you receive it ? Was it in the evening?

10:51 pm. And if you get it you are in. Good luck!

Thanks you @ cadreamin

Wahhh, I’m gonna start panicking if I don’t get one…

Has anyone gotten one yet?

I haven’t

Do they send them all at once or by waves?

Did someone you know get it? @lilliana330

getting a litttlleee nervouse now…

maybe they aren’t being sent out tonight? Im so anxious

haven’t gotten anything |:
