Engineering Major and Palo Verde?

I am currently a senior in high school and I plan on enrolling in the fall 2010 Semester at Asu. As of right now I am a civil engineering major and have been accepted to the Ira. A. Fulton college. My problem is, that, I want to stay in Hassayampa Dorm with a buddy, but I found out that all engineering majors have to live in Palo Verde their freshman year. Is there anyway to get around this? Thanks for the Help!

There is, but I don’t think it allows you to live in another dorm, just off campus. I would call reslife and see what they can do for you.

Barrett Honors College dorms (right next to Hassyampa) certainly have engineering freshmen living there.

Yeah, I’m pretty sure Barrett’s the only way to get out of it, but that only works if you’re an honors student. I know someone in a situation very like yours, as they make all Sustainability majors live in the sustainability dorms. She requested Hassy, and tried to get them to change it, but it didn’t work. So sadly you’re probably stuck. On the bright side Palo Verde is much closer to the engineering classes.
