Engineering Majors More Suitable for Left-Brainers?

Nearly a week ago, I took a non-formal left vs. right brain exam, and it turns out that I'm 76% left brained, and 24% right brained.

According to the exam producer, I'm more suited towards mathematics and the sciences (courses which are the backbone of engineering degrees) and that I'm not that good or comfortable at right brain subjects such as courses that deal with abstract ideas, subjectivity, subjects that are non-technical.

Left Brain Students

What are your thoughts on this?

I'm not sure if there is anything to say. It's not really a surprise.

My thoughts are that you shouldn't let a test determine what your interests are. That test is hardly scientific.

Do what you like, not what you think you're good at; The two aren't necessarily related for most people. I was a great writer in high school and had some local awards for my ability, but I hated the fact that the arts are so full of quacks so I chose what I liked (engineering) even though I was extremely bad at hands on things.

i'm 50-50 either way, i do music, foreign languages, etc and i'm planning on majoring in comp engineering... just go with whatever you're actually interested in :)
