Engineering NJ

I wanna go to Engineering school in NJ. I don't know exactly what field but i'm leaning toward mechanical and possibly electrical. I need help on choosing a college and I wanna go to a public college so i'm thinking Rowan or Rutgers. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated on what field and what college to go to.

I know very little, so take my comments with a grain of salt. I have met Mr. Rowan. His non-profit didn’t just dump enough money into the school to be renamed. He set out a clear path as to what education was needed to succeed in industry. Rowan is a great engineering program. It is a hands on program.

Though not directly related to Engineering, the recommended merger of Rowan & Rutgers Camden should be considered. If this goes through, I believe it will have a positive impact on the “prestige” of Rowan. Others have a different opinion.

Look into Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken. And if you are willing to venture into NY maybe Manhattan College (in Riverdale/Bronx)?

If you want a public college, maybe also look at TCNJ.

There is also NJIT – here is the link: [New Jersey Institute of Technology](http://www.njit.edu/)
