Engineering options

I have recently been accepted to purdue, ucla, and uc Berkeley. I also have the opportunity to attend UNiversity of nebraska Lincoln on a full tuition scholarship while living at home. I am worried that I will be missing out on oppurtunities to top engineering schools meanwhile graduating with over 100k debt doesn't sound to satisfying either. Can I get some opinions on options and outcomes? I have to pay for my own college.

I’m not an expert on engineering schools. However, I do know that UNL’s is well thought-of, and funded pretty well too. I went to NU, and did a masters at Mich State. D1 attends USC, and D2 is looking at a public on the west coast. I’ve always told them that NU was a great choice…in my case I was from Lincoln, and decided to live on campus to get the “away from home” feeling. If you’re serious about one or two of the others, do at least visit the campus and see if you can get any financial aid. The $100k debt thing is crazy. If you get no aid elsewhere, go to NU, live on campus have a great time, and go to grad school somewhere else for that experience. Michigan State was a riot for me…great experience. Good luck and go Huskers.
