engineering questions

Hey guys-for those of you applying to engineering, there is a section in the academics part on the common app where it asks you to list areas of interest. How many did you guys put? I feel like putting too many would hurt my chances–there are 9 options in total and i have 6 right now. Is this too many?

In addition, does anyone know how easily can students transfer between colleges within the school? I’m not sure if I will fall in love with engineering, but I really like the idea fo eng and right now my ecs are geared towards STEM anyway… I’m an international student from Canada with ACT of 32, which is lower than the avergae of 33. My breakdown is 33,34,32,30 (and for sciecne the highest i’ve got was only 32 in september which was also the date where my reading was a 24 so i’m not sure if i’m sending that one in…does umichigan superscore act??) and i have a writing score of 36 in december. Technically my ELA is 34 and STEM was 33 (from the october one, when my science was a point higher) so i could apply to letters and sciences if i want to. But i just want to know based on my scores which college has a higher chance for me? I’m an Asian female applicant interested in either engineering or sciences. Thanks guys

LSA is usually easier than CoE for admission. However, being a female applicant would reduce that difference.
UMich does not superscore but they will look at your higher Math section score.
