I am currently attending Stephen F. Austin University in Texas majoring in a pre-engineering program, and the time to transfer is fast approaching. I was wondering is there any huge difference which engineering college I go to between A&M and UT, I plan on doing Chemical engineering, and it seems that the more I see the rankings and other discusses between the two schools its getting harder and harder to pick one of the two. What I am asking which school of the two do you believe has more of a kick when it comes down to going to graduated school or finding a job.

You'll be able to get a job with either. However, if you go to TAMU, you will most likely be hired by aggies and work with all aggies.

They're both good engineering schools, but they have very different cultures. If you're going to school in Texas, you already know that. Pick the school that is the best fit for you. UT might be a bit better known outside of TX, if only because of their recent football victories, but I think TAMU is a bit stronger in petroleum engineering.

Yeah you are right but it seems that UT has become a powerhouse in its engineering program.
