Engineering, trasfer from CC to senior college

Hey guys!
I’m currently studying in CUNY community college and I’ll graduate this December. My major is Engineering Science and I want to transfer to four year school doing Computer Engineering, but I’m not sure what school should I choose.(my GPA is 3.7)

According to rankings, the best choice would be a private college where tuition is over 50k/year but unfortunately I’m not able to handle this cost, and I think that 100k+ loan is too much for me. But in top 15 programs in Computer Engineering there are some state universities such as Georgia tech, Purdue University, University of Illinois where tuition for out-of-state students is about 30k/year. On the another hand I can transfer to New York state colleges (SUNY) such as Stony Brook or University at Buffalo where as a NYS resident I’ll pay only 10k/year, but those schools are much lower in rankings (about 60th in country).

So here are my questions:

Are those high ranked state schools are much better than NY schools which are ranked much lower?
Is that have any meaning for employers at what school I get a degree?
What are main acceptance factors for students like me, who transfer from CC to senior college?

Are you thinking of continuing for a graduate degree? If so then dont be in such a rush to move. There are great programs in New York in fact some of the top schools like NYU or Columbia are merit based scholarship schools and need based I believe. Which means you wont exactly be paying such a expensive amount. Your a great student pretty nice GPA I wouldn’t worry about finances because schools would pay for students like you.

Thank you for your respond @tommieford !

Actually I don’t think about continuing for graduate degree, maybe in the future I’ll do it. For now I’m sure that I want get a job right after my bachelors, that’s why I try to transfer to best possible school for me.
