<p>I was asked to send Pitt my mid year reports and they replied with a letter saying that I could either take a spot on the waitlist for the school of engineering or accept an offer of admission to the college of arts and sciences. I know that I want to do engineering but the letter also said that if I don't get in off the waitlist then I can't chose the other option. What should I do? How hard would it be to transfer into engineering?</p>
<p>Son received same letter yesterday and he is going with the School of Arts and Sciences. From what we understand, as long as you take the required Freshman engineering classes and have a decent GPA (3.0) you cabn transfer to Engineering after freshman year,</p>
<p>Thanks, I’ll have to decide if I want to go to Pitt bad enough to not take the chance. I will probably end up joining the waitlist and if I don’t get in I could go somewhere else.</p>
