i am sooooo confused. don’t hafta help me w/ ALL of the ?s tho. thanks!

do i have to take a foreign language again although i satisfied the foreign language requirement? don’t med schools like to see me take a foreign language in COLLEGE?

I am debating whether I should major or minor in English and I think I should decide before I totally forget my Spanish. I tested to level 4 during orientation. I believe that taking Spanish 4 and 5 would be a waste of time if I don’t major in English. So I will take Spanish 4 and 5 ONLY if I want to major in English. So while I decide, is it worth it to attempt to keep up with Spanish?

does satisfying writing 2 from a cluster exempe me from taking english 4w being an english mijor? english minor?

now i am thinking of phy sci major, english minor. how do the required classes for phy sci compare to the pre med classes?

1.) Um... it might help for med school admission but from everything I've heard, it isn't required.

2.) You should definitely keep up with it while you decide. If you don't keep up with it and then decide to go for the major, then you'll be kinda screwed if you wanna continue with spanish as your foreign language.

3.) No. The writing II requirement is for a Writing intensive class -- not Eng 4W.

4.) As far as I can tell from looking up the major requirements, it covers most if not all of the pre-med reqs.

Look up "medical school requirements." They generally have chemistry, physics, math, life science, and other requirements that coincide with each other with few nuances (most likely at the most specialized medical schools or programs). Go to http://www.career.ucla.edu and scroll down the sidebar regarding pre-health students (and then specifically pre-med).

You have time to decide what you major in, believe it or not. (Of course, there is a specific window...) Consider that if (and when) you take English 4W and English 10A that you'll, for the former, satisfy one of the university writing II requirements, and that for the latter, you'll satisfy the Literary & Cultural Analysis GE. Do you want to take Spanish? Even if you don't plan on studying it formally, it is a valuable skill to have for the future.

You need English 4W for your English major/minor.

Physiological Science (lower-division courses) and pre-med requirements overlap considerably. Look up medical school requirements. Go to http://cis.ucla.edu/studyarea/ and look at all of your major requirements.

does my transcript say that i have satisfied the foreign language requirement before freshman year?? so if i don't have room to take a foreign language, would med school understand?
