Basically, I'm still pretty undecided about what I want to major in in college. I'm leaning heavily toward psychology/neuroscience, but I still love so many other subjects that I don't have my mind set on anything yet. However, I am confident that I will double major, and I've pretty much narrowed down my second major to either philosophy or English. My question is, assuming I'm equally interested in both, which should I choose to major in?

Take a couple of courses in each and then decide. That will give you a better answer than any anonymous poster on CC (or elsewhere) can possibly provide.

Both lead to careers at Starbucks. Just kidding.

What would you rather read? James Joyce’s Ulysses or Plato’s Republic?

I would pick philosophy, because it’s heavily based on critical thinking, and that’s extremely valuable.
