I was just wondering which professor is recommended for English R1A? I know that time is important, but I also want to make sure I get a "good" professor. There's a lot of them though.

You can find students' evaluations of the professors at www.ratemyprofessors.com. Unfortunately they don't have all the professors teaching English R1A.

I guess I'll just go with Goodwin as that's the most convenient time slot. Unfortunately Goodwin isn't on ratemyprofessors.com or cal.pickaprof.com :(

If you want an easy part "A" R&C class, then go with German R5A with Emily Banwell.

hmm...goodwin. he was my GSI for an R1A class last semester. nice guy, easy to talk to, fair grader...though he's a grad student so i'm not sure if it's the same guy.

The reason they don't have profiles for R1A and R1B classes is because most of them are grad students. Professors ususally don't teach at these levels. So I suppose it's hit or miss for choosing R1A or R1B classes if you are looking for easy teacher.

I didn't realize that each English R1A class is different...so my English R1A instructor will likely be LEIBOWITZ or WRIGHT. Any opinions on these two? Or should I take German R5A?
