Enjoying holidays or looking forward to next semester?

So I am an international. 3 weeks is too short for me to go home. So, Im at a friends place in another state (about a 12 hr drive).

Its kinda hard for me when I see him meeting friends/family...I mean I miss my own.

So, I just want school to start again so Im back in my "home away from home"...when theres so much work to do I dont miss home as much.

I feel this is a very bad approach to holidays. I didnt feel like this when I had holidays in HS. Kinda feeling bad during New years and stuff?? Blehh.

What do you guys feel?

i want like 3 months off right now. thankfully i have 2 months off before work and i don’t have to go back to school for 3 years.

I am still not even off school yet and I only get like nine days off, and I NEED the break, so I am going to enjoy the holidays when its finally here.

I’ve been off for about 1 1/2 weeks and am about halfway done. I do enjoy the time off…not having to worry about homework, exams, reading I haven’t done, etc…However I’m really glad there’s less than two weeks until I go back. It’s just boring at home…friends still in school, seasonal job didn’t work out, and there’s just less stuff to do.
During Thanksgiving break I couldn’t wait to get back…and that was after less than 24hrs.

A little of both I guess, definitely nice not having problem sets and reading to have to do, but I do miss my friends from school, and am kinda antsy at times. I think I’m going to watch some lectures form iTunes U on differential equations to get ready for next semester, since multivariable calc was harder than I anticipated. Other than that I’ll be working, exercising, looking for summer internships, and just hanging out with friends I haven’t seen for a few months.
