can you be in two discussions: one waitlist and one enrolled?
because i wanted to try and switch my cs3 lab and they are all full and i don't want to risk losing my enrollment in one by waitlisting for another one

Also, how do you know your wait list position for a class? On bearfacts my wait list position for the lecture shows up but not the discussion. Does this mean I'm enrolled in the discussion?

im not sure if it shows what number you are in a discussion but i looked on the online schedule to see how many were on the waitlist for the discussion but i have yet to sign up for the waitlist

If you get waitlisted in a discussion then you are waitlisted in the class. I would wait and see if the discussion becomes available later.

no i am already in a class AND ciscussion but i wanted to get into another discussion but that means i would be waitlisted for the second one but i don't want to lose my space in the one i am already in i just need to change the times

You should wait till the first weeks of class to see if you can switch into another discussion. If anything, don't try to switch into one where you'll be waitlisted or you might lose your spot in the class.

Discussion waitlist position numbers are not given out. Just because it's a blank spot next to the position doesn't mean you're not waitlisted for the discussion. When you get out of the waitlist for the lecture, you are in the discussion and the class.

......... so that's why all the discussions are full. People over-reserve and double waitlist. :/
