Enrollment Deposit Crisis !!

<p>I am in Crisis !My 76 year grandmother has stage VI lung cancer and my mother has taken a league of absence without pay to take care of her for the next 30 days.Just like that in the last 3 days my world has been turned upside down between the cancer and my grandmother's denial stage- life has been hard to say the least. But now on Monday my matriculation fee for Vanderbilt is due. I put on my Vanderbilt transfer app my college address to sunset on May 10 needless to say Vandy sent my transfer acceptance on May 13th !! When i would Call they say there was no way to know if i had been admitted due to their rolling admissions policy. then got and email yesterday saying they didn't receive reply on my acceptance and are closing my app!!! Yet I called my ad. com. and she said i need the deposit and commitment in by Monday. And sent me my acceptance letter via email . Now I want to go Vandy but cant pay the deposit and cant even talk to my mom about between my grandmother and already putting down a deposit for Richmond my mother will freakout and wouldn't even be able to pay ! Can I get a wavier this late AND under these circumstances???!!c I dont know what I can do !!! Help Please !</p>

<p>You have to call the Admissions Office and let them know. An Admissions Officer there is the only person who can prevent your file from closing. As for NOT paying your deposit at all…again, it’s up to them, but how are you going to pay for the school year if you cannot even pay your enrollment deposit? You are likely going to have to give them a date this summer that you can get the money. Do you have a full ride there? if that is the case, something might be done, but really when it comes to wait lists, Admissions does not like to fool around and the enrollment deposit is there to make you have some skin in the game if you back out. But again, the Admissions officers are the ones to make this determination, not anyone else.</p>
