Okay so I just sent in my enrollment deposit to NYU! I visited last Monday and I think I'll really like it there. But if I do decide to transfer, are there any MAP courses that I should stay away from freshman year, so that I'll have more transfer credits? BTW I have lots of AP Credit. Don't get me wrong - I really like NYU, but I just want to keep my options open.

MAP courses will be unlikely to transfer. If they do transfer, typically they will count as “General Elective”. It also differs from college to college.

Perfect answer above. For us they are gen-ed requirements. If you can find a directly comparable requirement at your new school, it’s probably gonna work if you can smooth-talk the admissions office. Some of ours are so odd in terms of name + description that I’m not sure it would go over well. Many schools that wouldn’t accept them towards your requirements would at least accept them as electives so they still count toward your graduation requirement.
