Ensemble Experience for Music Portfolio?

Hello! I am currently filling out my music portfolio for Brown. However, I am not sure what to put down for the “theory/ensemble experience.” The only real “music theory” that I have is that my piano teacher will give me information about theory at lessons; I’ve never taken a formal course. Furthermore, because piano is usually a solo instrument, I’m not really sure what to put down for “ensemble experience.”

I am not planning to be a music major (I’m looking more into electrical engineering) but thought that a music portfolio would be a nice addition to my application.

Does anyone have any advice for how to fill out this section?
Thanks so much!

If you’ve never played in an ensemble, just put “none” or “N/A.” They understand that piano isn’t generally a group instrument.

@bruno14 thanks for your help! I was wondering if maybe I should use this section to put down my performance experience or not? If you’re not sure, then that’s fine, but I just want to get as many opinions as possible.
Thanks again!

If you’ve played somewhere impressive or won competitions, then certainly.

Thank you so much! I have won a couple of competitions so I put that down.
