@Proxy123 Majoring in Econ, minoring in Poli Sci. Took CS class because his friends liked it. And yes, he ignored years of me trying to get him to code. Sigh.
@SwimmingDad Thanks for the information! I was just wondering if the economics program included some computer science classes because that isn’t really my forte.
Yeah, he’s taking it as an elective.

Ha! S1 has had the same experience with the Linear Algebra. He entered McGill as a U1. Smart, but not brilliant at Math (he’s at Desautels). Escaped with a B. He’s not happy, but realizes it could be worse. Said he had the worst teacher he ever had for that course.
He’s enjoying McGill as a whole, but the rigor is very real. He got pretty stressed during his Junior year at HS when he had a 5 AP courses and was a Varsity athlete and was doing a club, but McGill is a whole different level of stress. He’s always been a sensible, mature kid, but McGill is making him even more so. Maybe a bit tougher, too.
Adding a little here…my son decided to take a summer course so that his remaining four semesters he will only have four classes each semester. The sheer volume of work crushed him this semester. He is a smart kid but a methodical worker…he’ll be much happier with four classes. As for the CS class…he figured out how to nail the coding and survive the midterm and final (we hope). Should balance out to an acceptable grade. (Fingers crossed.)
