ENTICING TITLE. Chances for Columbia, UPenn, NYU, Reed

Hey there guys. Thanks in advance for participation in the thread, be it a straightforward answer or muddled advice.

Gender: female
Other Factors: i present myself really well and will have great essays. obviously that's not a concrete fact, but i figured i'd throw it in there.

I am applying to:
-Columbia (top choice, I will be applying ED)
-UPenn
-NYU
-Eugene Lang
-Reed College
-St. John's College

That is an interesting list.
Not sure how someone who would really like Reed and St. John's would feel at Penn. Very, very different type of schools.

I'm interested in Penn because of the Benjamin Franklin Scholars program. I'm a big book nerd but I like the idea of a school with more opportunities than St. John's.

Also I forgot to add, I have taken the following APs: U.S. History, English Language, and World History. My courseload is the heaviest possible with some quirky (but challenging) classes thrown in.

Columbia- Big Reach (your low GPA and low rank are what hurt your app)
UPenn- Big Reach
NYU- High Match
As for the other schools, I'm not really familiar with their admissions.

You might want to put a SUNY or two up as safeties.

depending on your last name, try to put down african american, or even white; just dont put down asian.

that said, if u can present some clear focuses, then NYU is definetely reasonable. Upenn and Columbia, however, will be harder.

Put down African-American and I'd say you have a good shot at Columbia. You're in at Eugene Lang and probably in at NYU too, but UPenn I'd give you like 20% odds. But I'm far from an expert.

bumpity bump
