I was planning to take ED11A, PlantBio 40, Physics C10, and a philosophy & values class to round out my semester at 14 units, but my academic advisor recommended to drop one of those classes in favor of a decal (so I end up at 12, the minimum at College of Environmental Design). Is 11A really that time-consuming that I won't be able to fit in another class?

11A is extremely time consuming. although im currently taking it with gutierrez and i’ve heard sullivan’s class is slightly easier and more relaxed. if you really want to take four classes i would suggest signing up for them and dropping one later if it gets to be too much.

If I may ask, what courses did you take this semester?

besides 11A i’m taking math 16A, Physics 8A, and History 158C P/NP. sometimes i feel like i don’t have enough time for my other classes because of studio, but then again i wouldn’t say i’m great at prioritizing my time. Just wondering, are you the type of person that stays on top of things or do you procrastinate?

I tend to stay on top of things pretty well. I know that ED1 isn’t as intensive as 11A, but I didn’t really feel pressured time-wise balancing between ED1, Asian American Studies 20A, English 31AC (P/NP), Near Eastern Studies C26, and a decal.

I’m a Landscape Arch major, and from what I’ve heard from people about the classes I’m taking next semester, I’ve heard that Physics C10 and PlantBio aren’t too bad, especially when comparing C10 with 8A. Studio is a giant question mark for me though, and is probably the only thing throwing me off when it comes to putting together a workable schedule. I suppose signing up for four and dropping one later in favor of a decal will be the best route to go. Thanks for the help.
