Hello so if I was interested in environmental engineering, would physics or environmental science be more helpful in the future as a high school senior class? Thanks
You will need to take physics in college and if you have some exposure to it in high school, it will not all be new to you.
If you can try to take AP physics and AP Environmental Systems, or at least physics. Physics is the backbone of any engineering discipline. Also, try to take calculus in high school. It will be very helpful to be placed into calculus by college because universities expect it. You don’t want to waste a year in pre-engineering having to take precal. Also take chemistry if you can. Engineering basics for civil engineering will be Calculus I, Calculus II, engineering physics, and chemistry. You will take these your freshmen year in college so prepare yourself and even get AP credit if you can.
