Eop

This may sound like a stupid question, but the UCs say that
“The Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) is a recruitment and academic support program established by the university to increase the enrollment of educationally disadvantaged and low-income students.”

What do they mean when they say educationally disadvantaged? I fit under the low-income, should I apply & does it give me an advantage in admissions?

It may give you an edge, but you have to discuss it in your essays.

You only have to write in the additional comments, so I'm not worried.

I'm just wondering if it helps to apply at all.

yes, it definitely can help since being low income is a plus factor for admissions.
