Hello! I was recently admitted to Sewanee. I received the Wilkins Scholarship for $25,000 a year, which I am very excited about! I am curious however; how do I know if I am invited to EQB Awards Day? In the right column of my admissions portal, it has a widget that leads to registration for the day. Does this count as an invitation? And if so, what exactly is EQB Awards Day?
Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much!
I would call the admissions office and ask.
Marjtele, congratulations on your admission and receipt of the Wilkins. If you wouldn’t think it would be high jacking your thread, would you be willing to spare a post to mention a bit about your stats, ECs, etc., please? I would be most grateful to get an idea of what a student needs to be competitive for that award. Thank you in advance if you wouldn’t mind and, of course, if you’d prefer not to share, no worries. Just thought it couldn’t hurt to ask.
Again, congrats on your award and I hope you get the answer you’re looking for to your EQB Awards Day question.
Hi Marjtele:
Yes, the widget leading to the registration for the event serves as the invitation. As for what EQB Awards Day is, it is a day for admitted students to come and meet other admitted students, take a campus tour, sit in on a class, and hear the Vice-Chancellor speak, along with some other activities.
