<p>I think it works just as long as the essay is really saying something about you. Though the topic may be “what don’t you know,” that’s not really what Brown is interested in. They want to know about you as a person.</p>

<p>If it’s coherent, it could work very well. List essays, however, are hard to do right; they can easily become trite.</p>
<p>I think that as long as you can make it work, a list is a fresh idea. It’s also easier on the eys of an admissions officer ;)</p>
