Essay grading

<p>Hi everyone!!
I just took practice SAT test two days ago.
And I was wondering how to grade my essay, so it would be great if you can grade my essay.
Thanks!!</p>

<p>"No one is contented in this world, I believe. There is always something left to desire, and the last thing longed for always seems the most necessary to happiness”</p>

<p>Do you think that people are capable of finding happiness or are they always searching for something beyond what they have?</p>

<pre><code>Have you ever regretted about anything you have done in your past? Everyone, except Jesus, would say yes to this question. We always want to redo our past which also means that we are not satisfied with the current situation. Indeed it is our nature; human nature, if not being satisfied and seeking something greater and greater, what is beyond what we have. The examples of my academic pursuit, and Adolf Hitler clearly demonstrates the everlasting desire of humanity for something beyond what they have.
I am a straight A student. I’ve never got anything other than A+ and A in my whole life. Yet one of my greatest worries is that there is always someone better than me. In the television, I inevitably encounter all kinds of geniuses who can solve 100 calculus problems in 15 minutes, who can speak 5 different languages and who write fantastic poems in a second. Although I am the best student in my whole school, I am never satisfied with myself. I just cannot stand the people who is above me. I always studied to be better than those people and that’s how I came to be the top student. It is impossible to be number one at everything, and I know that, but my emotion cannot just stand being in second place. My everlasting thirst on academics demonstrates how we human cannot be satisfied with what we have.
The German dictator Adolf Hitler shows how we cannot be satisfied with what we have right now. When Adolf Hitler became the prime minister of Germany, the nation was totally destroyed, Germany was under great debt, and influence of foreign nations like US, UK, and France. At first Hitler just planned to restore the defeated Germany back to the time before WWI broke out. He stimulated economy boldly and people got job and simultaneously, destroyed cities were rebuilt. As a result, people got way much better life. Germany was restored fully so that it had stable economy to pay back all debts and it was less influenced by foreign nations. However, Hitler was not satisfied with that. After restoration, he began to aspire conquering the whole world, which started WWII and re-destroyed the whole world. People just cannot be satisfied with what they have.

<p>As the examples of my academics and Hitler shows, we humans can never be satisfied with what we have. We constantly seek for something better. It often cause tragedy but also cause progress. and after all who can help it? It is human nature.</p>

<p>Good start. Try getting right to the point (see: [Insider</a> Test Prep | THE SAT ESSAY: THE OPENING PARAGRAPH ? DO YOU REALLY NEED A PHILOSOPHICAL SENTENCE?](<a href=“http://insidertestprep.com/2013/05/21/the-sat-essay-the-opening-paragraph-do-you-really-need-a-philosophical-sentence/]Insider”>http://insidertestprep.com/2013/05/21/the-sat-essay-the-opening-paragraph-do-you-really-need-a-philosophical-sentence/)). Also, make sure your subjects agree with what you’re saying (i.e. “…demonstrates how we human…” should be humanS). Again, good start but keep working. Also, religion and Hitler can be sensitive topics. While the SAT should be unbiased, humans DO read your essay and picking neutral topics will ensure you aren’t subjected to any bias.</p>

<p>Thank you for your advice!!</p>

<p>by the way if you were to grade it what would you give? 1~6</p>
