Is that okay to do, or if we talk about one of our flaws, will it just make the adcoms not like us as much.
I was planning on using the same premise I used for an essay when I applied for TASP. It would be about how I felt threatened when there was another guy in my history class who was smarter than me, and how I couldn’t stand him and told everyone he was really pretentious and everything, but then I realized that that only highlighted my own insecurities, and that saying bad things about HIM will never make ME any smarter. That’s how I tie it all in in the final paragraph.
Yeah, so is that a totally cliche topic? I got rejected from TASP so I’m worried that it was bad, hackneyed essay topics that did it.
Since I’m borderline for many of the more selective schools to which I’m applying, I really need the essay to stand out if I want a chance.
Should I forget the idea in favor of a more “risky” essay?
