<p>How long should the three essays of the Stanford supplement be? Are they the standard 500 words each, or how short must they be to "fit in the space provided?" Thanks.</p>
<p>They limit you to characters on the supplement (1800). I would fit it within that constraint.</p>

<p>Yep. Mine were 280 words for the "Why Stanford", 285 for the "Roommate", and 297 for the "Intellectual Vitality."</p>
