Essay question. Huh?

Briefly explain (in 50-100 words), how you decided which activity was the most important to you.

This is nonsensical. What is the best way to answer this question? Just write about what activity you enjoyed the best and why?

Excellent essay request from UW. Part of your response is in how you choose to interpret the essay prompt. What are YOUR criteria for deciding which activity is most important? Use that as your basis for answering the prompt. Someone else may have different criteria and both of you will be correct. I won’t give options as that is each applicant’s job. There are many ways to answer, the engineer and the artist, for example, may use entirely different criteria and both be equally acceptable. Your essays reflect the indivdual you are- you are more than just test scores, gpa and teacher reports.
