For the supplement essays, how strict are colleges when it comes to directions? The obvious answer would be to stick to them, I know. However, for example, for my Why Wellesley essay, the directions were to explore why you want to go to Wellesley in two paragraphs under 400 words. Well, the under 400 words is fine, but my essay is split up into one intro, two main paragraphs, and one conclusion. I really didn't like the flow of a two paragraph essay, it didn't sound the way I wanted it to. Is this acceptable, you think? I don't want to seem as if I purposely ignored the directions, I truly just wrote the essay exactly how I wanted it to sound...

Thanks for the advice!
