I made a common app account super early so I could take a look at the essay questions early.
Surprise (not so much for others): questions change every year. When I made one this morning I realized the common app personal statement questions, at least, were different. I'd finished about 20 essays & short answers in total before today.

The Common App prompts have been available (without an account) for quite some time now, if that’s what you mean. Not all schools change their supplement prompts.
I’m sure plenty of these essays will be recyclable.

The new common app prompts have been up since around late May. They were just on a pdf file accessible through the common app home page. College prompts will probably still be the same though.

A lot of the topics are broad. I’m sure that if you have written that many essays, some must correspond with the prompts and might only need slight editing.

Oh that’s strange. I must have found something different somehow - my prompts were something along the lines of “Describe a person who had a significant impact on you and how”, or “Describe how the environment has made you realize the importance of diversity” etc. Bizarre. But I’ll keep my fingers crossed!

^
Those were last year’s prompts, which they used every year until now. (I’m sort of glad to be in the inaugural class for the new Common App. It makes me feel special. :))

Even if none of your essays work with the common app, there are many colleges that make you write an additional essay (about any topic) for their supplement. :)
