Question-Do changes make our lives easier not necessarily better? ( in relation to technology)

Essay:

With each passing day the world is evolving, more specifically technology. The technological society we live in today has brought the human race many benefits but as the old saying goes "with the good comes the bad." Nothing is one sided, everything has two halves.
Throughout history technology has been the corner stone of man's evolving. It has brought about many advancements in medicine, architecture, machinery and in agriculture just to name a few. With these advancements society will be able to achieve new heights s our ancestors could only dream of. We humans could go on and on about the wonders of our technological world, but what about the negatives?
Day in and day out we go about our daily lives not considering the negative impacts of technology. The evil tings that it has created such as weapons and pollution have become a detriment to our planet. Without technology the birth of the nuclear missile would have never happened. So many lives would have never been lost and the requiem sung across the world would never be so painful.
Technology has begun to kill this planet and the many humans that live on it. One of the greatest creations that sprung from technology is the automobile. A creation by man which allows us to travel great distances in a short amount of time. Automobiles have made our lives easier but has made out earth suffer. The emissions of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere has caused a major hole to open up in the ozone layer, allowing the harmful rays of the sun to melt the polar ice caps. The would be catastrophic to the earths ecosystem being that scientist believe the worlds oceans could rise by at least 7 meters.
It is very ironic that technology is the giver of wonderful things yet the taker of many others. Moreover technology has to solve these which it has created. At this moment technology isn't refined and as much as it makes our lives easier the stress that it bring us, we must ask ourselves "is it really worth it."
