I've been doing my common app personal statement essay!!
I'm planning to apply as a business or stat major but my
essay is talking about my passion for music...would that have
an effect on admittance?? or do I have to write about the major we're applying for?
It shouldn't be like a long life story thing right??</p>

<p>If you mention that you want to apply as a business/statistics major, you should probably write about something you might have done related to your prospective majors, or what led you to want to major in those areas.</p>
<p>It can be about anything I believe. Doesn’t have to relate to majors. How would “undecided” people ever write their essays.</p>
