Essay typos

I have two typos in my essay. Firstly, I had written the campus atmosphere "envelops" me. Instead of "envelopes" me. Then further in the essay I accidentally wrote "study body" instead of "student body". I had noticed this before, but didn't know what to do, and no one else (parents and teachers) knew what to do. Is this really bad? I honestly did not notice these typos the first few times I read my essay, and honestly no one had noticed them either. That was only for one essay. The rest of the essays were typo free, and all of the essays I wrote in general were excellent, including the typo one. Should I notify them, or leave it alone?

Don’t notify them. You’ll be fine.

Also, “envelops” is the correct word.

Thanks for the post. Also, in my essay I had written “Many universities seem to focus on all the opportunities on the graduate students and do not have as many as the undergraduates” I had meant “not as many for the undergraduates” (I had wanted to indicate that chicago had many opportunities for the undergraduates and was not limited by the graduate students). Is this bad?

Oh and at one point I wrote “intuition” instead of “institution”. Is this really bad? Are you sure I should not notify them? Chicago is my absolute first choice.

I think it would be stupid to send them a note bringing attention to all of those mistakes. When someone has to read a thousand or more files they might miss those things like you and your proof readers did…can never hurt to proof, proof, proof…you’ll be fine, I am sure.

No, don’t notify them.

Go outside and play. Take a goddamn walk. Enjoy the scenery.

Soon enough you may be enveloped in the study body at the intuition.

thanks for all the posts  sorry… I’m just freaking out… Chicago is my number one choice. I want to go there so badly, more than anything in my life. I want an acceptance letter so badly. I know it is perfect for me… I just hope they see that

I had more than two typos but I got in.
You will be fine.

“Soon enough you may be enveloped in the study body at the intuition.”

I lol’d

hahaha cottonwood513. That made me laugh :)

“Soon enough you may be enveloped in the study body at the intuition.”

Wow i was reading this thread, and when i saw that sentence i literally didn’t catch the 3 mistakes =P
