<p>There’s no right answer to your question. You should write it the way that you want to write it. Rice will be receiving essays that are stated both ways, and they’ll receive other perspectives essays that are stated in other ways entirely. Really. Just do what you think is best.</p>
<p>I agree with simpleLife. You could always do the ‘sandwich’ where you state your perspective first, tell your story and then tie it back together at the end.</p>
