<p>The Common App essay questions pretty much deal with past experiences, whether it be people, events, or accomplishments. But for the last option, the topic of your choice, how wise is it to create a prompt that's "What are your future goals and aspirations" or "Where do you see yourself in 15 years?"</p>
<p>I don't want to go into too much detail... My essay as of now is creative exposition on my aspirations to be in 15 years time, detailing my "on the road"/vagabond experience with some of my favourite writers. i conclude stream of conciousnessly. It's certainly not "I want to run a multinational corporation with my Harvard MBA.</p>
<p>I want to study creative writing and english and it perfectly illustrates both, as well as my dreams. but not just the topic but most of the writing is very creative itself, these are my definite dreams but it is only rooted in my past interests, not experiences.</p>
<p>is this bad? i have two english teachers, one who teaches admissions essays very in depth, who really love it. a few friends and siblings like it. my mother says it'll get me rejected.</p>
